Leeds fans were celebrating when Kewell signed a new contract in August 2000 because everybody could tell Harry was the kind of player you need to win title's. The only thing i would like to see more of is Harry Kewell doing is starting up front and getting more goals i think his best position is been a center forward not a winger. Harry had a poor 2001/02 campaign by his standards, which included Australia's failure to reach the 2002 World Cup after a play-off defeat at the hands of Uruguay. His relations with fans back in his homeland have always been strained as he seldom plays friendlies and only appears for the big occasion. So for all football fans it was nice to see Harry hit top form in the 2002/03 season with some magical work in front of goal,the big question now is can Leeds United keep hold of Harry Kewell with all the top sides in Europe wanting him to sign on the dotted line and the answer to that question is no. After a dog fight between several top sides in Europe it was Liverpool FC who won the Battle for Harry Kewell. This broke the hearts of all Leeds United Fans and you have to wounder why on earth have we still got this stupid Bosman Rule. |
