About Arjan De Zeeuw
Birthplace : 16/04/1970 Dutch
Height : 6ft 1
Weight : 13st 11
Position : Defender

De Zeeuw was just one of a host of new faces brought in by Harry Redknapp as he moulded his Portsmouth squad in the summer of 2002.
The classy Dutch defender was an important face in the side that won the First Division title to book a place in the Premiership.
De Zeeuw made his Pompey debut in a 2-0 home win over Nottingham Forest.
And De Zeeuw can already boast experience in the top flight, having being a member of Danny Wilson's Barnsley team that enjoyed a season in the Premiership in 1997/98.
He had come to English football from Telstar in his homeland in a £250,000 deal.
With his contract up at Oakwell in 1999 he was signed by Wigan Athletic, and became Mr Dependable at the back for the Latics, sorely missed when injured.
But he moved on for free again three years later when joining Portsmouth.
The central defender was an important figure as Pompey defied the odds to stay in the top flight for a second season. He penned a new two year deal in March 2004.
